Easy updos you can try

The bridal hair trends this season are updos and buns. The ramps have been showcasing this style, albiet with embellishments, floral headpieces, and attractive jewellery. However, even a basic updo can make heads turn. Updos have a timeless appeal and with the help of an arsenal of hair products, you can get the perfect look. Here are a few looks that you could try...

High chignon
The chignon is a timeless style that will always spell elegance. Perfect for brides who are in their 30s.

Try this:
Blow-dry your hair and then take a section of the hair from the crown and back comb it. Now, roll the hair into a long chignon and pin it up. Use a hair accessory on the side you are putting your pins in, leaving the smooth side as it is.

Dainty twist
A very girly and pretty hairstyle that goes well with high neck or collared gowns. This style can take years off your face, however, it might be tricky if you have very long and thick hair.

Try this:
You could opt for a middle parting or you could also sweep up your hair into a small bouffant. Once the front is done, take small sections and twist them — begin from the sides. Now, make a low pony and then twist it up. Using pins, secure the hair in a way that the band is hidden. Use pearl pins, or single flowers to do it up. You could also use a floral tiara. Floral headbands are big on the international ramp right now.

Mid-parting bun
This is a no-fuss, matter-of-fact kind of a look and will suit brides who are in their late 30s or early 40s. The mid-parting lends the face a youthful appeal. The simple way in which the hair is tucked away on top, defines the look.

Try this:
Do a middle parting. Take a section of hair from the crown and spray all three sections to get a smooth look. Now pin the sections from the side, then gather the hair and make a high bun. Leave a few loose ends.

Tiny nape knot
Fret not if your have short hair and can't carry an updo. Choose to sport a nape-bun. If you have curly hair, this style is the easiest to manage and would look great with backless or low back gowns. Prefect for women in their late 20s.

Try this:
Use fingers to comb through your just-washed hair. Don't try to tame it, the ruffled up strands on the crown can give extra body to the style. Gather the ends at the nape and tie with a band. Pin a hair accessory that matches your gown.

Side halo
Young bridesmaids, most of the time, have to go with loose curls, or blow-dried hair at weddings. This side bun works for girls with shoulder-length hair and can also be worn by teenagers.

Try this:
Begin with a side parting. Sweep all your hair to one side and secure with a band. Twist your hair around the band and pin it. Let the strays be as they are. Attach a white satin floer on it with hair clips.
