DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive recovered huge firearms and ammunitions from Awami League rival candidate Sayeedur Rahman Shaheed alias Shaheed commissioner early Thursday.

Sources said that acting on a tip off, RAB conducted a two-hour long drive at his Gendaria residence at around 3:00am and   recovered a revolver, a shotgun, 23 rounds of shotgun bullets, a foreign pistol, two magazines and 12 rounds of bullets.

A case was filed under arms act in this connection.

RAB-10 operation officer Fazle Rabbi confirmed the matter to banglanews.
