DHAKA: At least five people were injured as several crude bombs were exploded at the election rally of Awami League (AL) candidate Mostofa Jalal Mohiuddin, at city’s Islambagh on Thursday afternoon.
Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Ward no. 24 unit Awami League president M Ekramul Sarwar said a gang of miscreants hurled four-five crude bombs aiming the vote campaign rally of Dhaka-7 constituency AL candidate Mostofa Jalal Mohiuddin, in the area around 5:15pm, leaving five people injured.
Injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Confirming the matter Officer-in-Charge of Chalk Bazar Thana M Azizul Haque said that police trying to arrest the miscreants.
