‘Terrorism to be uprooted soon’

DHAKA: Environment and Forests Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud categorically said that within two weeks after forming new government terrorism would be uprooted from the country.

He came up with the assertion while addressing commemoration meeting of late Awami League Presidium Member Abdur Razzak at capital’s Reporters’ Unity on Friday morning.

Hasan Mahmud said: “The first priority of the new government of January 5 will be to remove anarchists and terrorists from the country.”

With Hindu-Buddha-Christian Oikya Parishad Dhaka Metropolitan Unit president Chittaranjan Das in the chair, state minister for Law Advocate Quamrul Islam, Krisak League Vice-president MA Karim and others were present in the programme.
