BNP man killed in Lalmonirhat

LALMONIRHAT: A leader of union Swechhasebok Dal was killed in a clash with Awami League activists over controlling a polling center in Patgram upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mobarok Hossain, 35, president of Baura Union Swechhasebok Dal.

Witnesses said that activists of Awami League and BNP-Jamaat locked into chase and counter chase, later clashed to take control over Rasulpur School polling center, leaving Mobarok dead on the spot.

Tension was mounting in the area after the clash.
