Juba Dal man succumbs

LALMONIRHAT: A Juba Dal activist, who sustained injuries in a clash between Awami League-BNP on Saturday, died at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Faruk Hossain, 35, son of Khairul Islam in Rasulpur village of Baurar Union of the district.

Witnesses said that Awami League and BNP locked into clash in Safirhat area under Patgram upazila, leaving a Juba Dal critically injured.

Later, some miscreants again beat him while he was going to the hospital by ambulance.

On information, police recovered him from the spot and admitted to RMCH where he breather his last early hours of the day.

Patgram Thana Officer-in-Charge Ameeruzzamn Fauk confirmed the matter to banglanews.
