48 ministers set to take oath

DHAKA: Some 48 ministers, including the ministers of polls-time government and grand alliance government, are set to take oath around 3:00pm Sunday.

Confirming the matter, cabinet sources said that 31 new faces are going to join in the cabinet with some of those who performed their role as the ministers of the polls-time government.

Of them, 29 will be full ministers, 17 state ministers and two deputy ministers.

M Nasim, Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mostafizur Rahman, Abul Kalam Azad, Meher Afroz Chumki, Syed Mohsin Ali, Advocate Anisul Haque and Anwar Hossain Manju are ready to take oath as full ministers.

Bir Bahadur Tanchangya, Jakob Ali, MA Mannan, Professor Motiur Rahman, Asaduzzaman Khan, Saheb Ali Matubbor, Engineer Yafes Osman, Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Jahid Malek, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Mirza Azam, Ismat Ara, Shahriar Alam, Shahidul Haque, Emajuddin Pramanik, Moshiur Rahman Ranga, Narayan Chandra Chanda and Biren Sikder will take oath as state ministers.

And, former captain of national football team Arif Khan Joy will take oath as deputy minister.

Besides, the personal vehicles of the ministers were kept ready at the cabinet department.
