DHAKA: LGRD Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, also general secretary of ruling Awami League, on Monday said the possibility of dialogue with BNP is still alive.
The AL spokesperson came up with the assertion while talking to journalists at his secretariat office in the afternoon.
He said Awami League and BNP leaders are not undermining the importance of the talks as it is a must in politics.
Hinting to the previous discussions with BNP leaders, influenced by Assistant Secretary-General of United Nation Oscar Fernandez-Taranco, he said, “The talks brought us closer to solve the problems but unfortunately we could not reach to the goal.”
The hope has not yet been finished, he added.
Moreover, later on, he expressed greetings with staff of the ministry along with the state minister Moshiur Rahman Ranga and other high officials of the ministry at the secretariat.
