BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum left Bangladesh for Saudi Arabia on Thursday to perform the holy Umrah.
They departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 3:15pm, said BNP chairperson’s press wing member Shamsuddin Didar.
Mirza Fakhrul and his wife are expected to return home on May 8, he added.
