Dialogue if BNP shun violence

DHAKA: Ruling Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Hanif said if BNP leave the path of violence then dialogue could be held about 11th parliamentary polls.

He was addressing in a discussion at Dhaka Reporters Unity organized by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote on Tuesday as chief guest.

Urging BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia he said, “Please keep away you (Khaleda) from destructive activities for the sake of the country.”

The senior leader asserted that legal action would be taken against the terrorists, as in future, none can dare to unleash terror in the name of movement.

Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote president Tarana Halim presided over the programme while cultural personalities Pijush Bandyopadhyay and ATM Shamsuzzaman were present, among others.
