DHAKA: Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pankaj Saran met with BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office in the city on Thursday evening.
The Indian diplomat reached at Khaleda’s political office around 7:30pm.
This is the first meeting between Khaleda and the Indian envoy after the 10th parliamentary polls held on January 5 amid boycotting by BNP-led 18-party alliance.
During the parley, they talked the prevailing political situation of the country and bilateral issues between two countries.
Earlier in the day, the envoy met with opposition leader Raushan Ershad at her house and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at latter’s Gulshan office on Thursday.
The Indian envoy arrived at the Gulshan residence of Raushan, also a senior presidium member of the Jatiya Party, at 5:00pm.
