GAZIPUR: BNP vice-chairman Selima Rahman was released on bail from Kashimpur jail on Friday noon.
Kashimpur Female Jail Jailer Amjad Hossain Don confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Jail sources said that Dhaka Metropolitan Court on Thursday granted bail to Selima Rahman along with two other BNP leaders.
Later, according to jail code, Semila Rahman was freed from the jail after legal formalities on Friday noon.
Meanwhile, Gazipur BNP and Mahila Dal leaders and activists welcomed her at jail gate.
Earlier on January 7, Selima Rahman was picked up by law enforcers from her residence at Gulshan in the capital on charge of bomb blast.
