DHAKA: The BNP-led 18-party alliance got conditional permission to stage its scheduled mass rally in the city’s Suhrawardy Udyan on Monday.
BNP assistant office secretary Abdul Latif Jony confirmed the matter to banglanews on Sunday.
On January 15, Khaleda announced the programme from a press conference in the city to thank formally the country’s people for what she said boycotting the January 5 polls.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will address the rally.
Similar rallies will also be held in all divisional cities, district towns and upazila headquarters.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Joint Commissioner Monirul Islam told banglanews that BNP has been given permission to stage a peaceful rally with 12 conditions concerning law and order situation.
