DHAKA: The first Namaz-e-Janaza of Awami League lawmaker Shawkat Momen Shahjahan of Tangail-8 constituency held at South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad at 2:00pm Monday.

The second Janaza will be held at Tangail Basail School ground around 3:30pm and the third Janaza will be at Sakhipur Upazila Parisad ground around 4:00pm.

Earlier, he breathed his last at Tangail Upazila Health Complex at 6:15am Monday. He was 67.

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chauwdhury and Deputy Speaker Shawkat Ali expressed deep mourn at the demise of lawmaker Shawkat Momen Shahjahan.

Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam also in a press release expressed deep shock.
