DHAKA: Acting Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said their movements will continue until the government quits.
The spokesperson for the party came up with the assertion while addressing a rally at city’s Suhrawardy Udyan in the afternoon.
He said, “We as well as mass people boycotted the 10th national polls by not casting votes.”
The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would be responsible for any further killing of 18-party alliance men, he added.
Mirza Fakhrul alleged that the government is abusing power and destroying the democratic rights of the people.
He also suggested to his party activist to continue the movement until their demands are met.
It was the very first rally of the party after 10th national polls. Thousands of BNP activists gathered along with the senior leaders at the party.
