DHAKA: At least 294 people were killed and 187 people went missing in the last three months’ drives of combined forces around the country.
BNP’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir claimed this in a press briefing at its Naya Paltan central office on Wednesday noon.
At least 10 bodies were found who were killed without any trial in the last 10 days, he said.
The senior BNP leader also said: “Whenever any autocratic government is established in any country, this system is followed for opposition.”
Mirza Fakhrul also claimed that even five percent votes were not cast on January 5 general election which is why Awami League is morally and legally defeated now.
He added that this is why the ruling party has been conducting communal violence to befog the countrymen and international community.
He also demanded judicial investigation of all the incidents before and after January 5 election.
He also urged international human right groups to investigate the violent incidents recently occurred in the country.
