Khaleda’s remarks won’t affect Indo-Bangla relation

DHAKA:  Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque on Thursday said the recent remarks of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia would not affect bilateral relations with India.

The law minister came up with the assertion while speaking to reporters after a meeting with Indian high commissioner to Dhaka Pankaj Saran at his office.

He said, “The relation will be stronger than before and the cooperation India was providing us will improve in the future what Khaleda told at Suhrawardy rally is false and baseless,”

Earlier Khaleda Zia, at a rally, mentioned to the joint forces crackdown in Satkhira, dominated by Jamaat-e-Islami, and hinted affiliation of Indian forces.

However, the Indian envoy denied telling something about the political matters of Bangladesh.

He said various bilateral issues were discussed in the meeting.
