GAIBANDHA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said stern action would be taken against BNP and Jamaat-Shibir men as they created anarchy across the country.
“It is not politics but militant activities. It must be stopped otherwise stern action would be taken against those who are involved in the terrorism and militant activities,” she said.
The premier, also ruling Awami League president, came up with the forewarning while addressing a mass rally at Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium in the district in the afternoon.
Sheikh Hasina also observed that politics and terrorism are not related in progressive vocabulary and BNP-Jamaat alliance relates such words by creating terrorism in the country.
The AL chief claimed that a total of 117 schools were rampaged during BNP led 18-party shutdown and blockade. She also criticized the alliance for creating sabotage in such heinous attempts.
She told her audience: “We are determined to develop and enhance democratic triumph of Bangladesh but BNP-Jamaat has been intending to foil all achievements.”
Hasina alleged that BNP-Jamaat killed 10 law enforcing members and a presiding officer during pre and post-polls violence.
The Awami league president also directed the district administration to take tougher actions against them those involved in terrorism activities.
Sheikh Hasina claimed that AL government develops the country but BNP and Jamaat destroy.
