DHAKA: Jatiya Party (Zafar) joined in the BNP-led 18-party alliance on Saturday afternoon.

Self proclaimed chairman of Jatiya Party Kazi Zafar Ahmed made the disclosure after an extended meeting held at his Gulshan residence around 5:00pm.

Former presidium member of Jatiya Party (Ershad) Golam Masih was made the general secretary of the party.

Kazi Zafar said from now on, the 18-party turned into a 19-party alliance.
