DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday rejected the bail plea of BNP Dhaka city convener Sadek Hossain Khoka in two cases following Sedition and Explosives Act.
Metropolitan Sessions Judge M Zahirul Haque passed the order after hearing on a bail petition submitted by the lawyer of the former DCC mayor.
Khoka’s lawyer Advocate Sanaullah Mia placed the bail pleas for two cases field in Paltan and Sutrapur Thana.
Earlier on Thursday, the same court denied bail pleas in four cases against Khoka.
On December 4, the BNP leader was arrested and placed on a two-day remand in cases filed with Paltan and Shahbagh Police station for his alleged involvement in arson, vandalism and subversive activities.
Khoka was also shown arrested in a case filed with Ramna Police Station for setting a bus afire at Malibagh in the city.
