SUST: At least 82 students of Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) were held on suspicion of having links with Chhatra Shibir from different messes near to the campus early Friday.

The identity of the detainees could not be known immediately.

Confirming the matter, Jalalabad Thana Officer-in-Charge Gausul Hossain told banglanews, “In a nightlong drive, police held them from messes in Nayabazar, Akhaliam Tilargaon area.”

After checking their involvement in criminal activities, others students will be freed, he added.
