DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Monday quizzed BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed at Kashimpur Jail gate in a case filed against him for allegedly capturing a government abandoned house.
He was interrogated for grabbing a land worth Tk 300 crore in Gulshan area which was abandoned during Liberation War.
ACC Deputy Director Harunur Rashid told banglanews that he started interrogation the BNP leader at the jail gate around 12:00 noon.
According to the case statement, on December 17 last year, ACC Deputy Director Harunur Rashid filed the case with Gulshan Thana against Moudud and his expatriate brother Manjur Ahmed for occupying government land worth Tk 300 crore in Gulshan, abusing power.
On January 27, the court ordered that Moudud can be interrogated in jail gate by February 2-6.
