RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: Police arrested Rajshahi University unit Chhatra League vice-president Delwar Hossain for his alleged involvement in recent mayhem on general students.  

Motihar Thana police held him from Beripara area around 4:30pm Wednesday.  

He was shown arrested in four cases over BCL attack on students who waged a protest procession on the campus demanding cancellation of fee hike and evening MBA programme.  

On Sunday morning, at least 100 students, journalists including 25 bullet-hit, were injured in the attacks by the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of ruling Awami League, and police on the students of the university.

The incident took when police and BCL activists attacked on agitating students who were demonstrating in the campus demanding lowering of tuition fees and scrapping evening courses at the university.
