Anisul Huq, Qamrul Islam, Solaiman Salim remanded 

A Dhaka court today (November 27) placed former law minister Anisul Huq on a three-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of Jannatul Ferdaus, 40, in the capital's Shanir Akhra area during the July-August mass uprising.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain passed the order as police produced him before the court and pleaded to place him on a seven-day remand.
 
Anisul Huq was arrested from the capital's Sadarghat area as he along with Salman F Rahman was trying to flee the capital through the waterways on August 13.
 
According to the case documents, Jannatul Ferdaus got shot and killed on July 20 in Shanir Akhra area. Her brother Mamunur Rashid on September 13 filed the case with the Jatrabari Police Station.

The same court also placed former food minister Advocate Qamrul Islam on a four-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of Khaled Hasan Saifullah in Lalbagh area during the recent anti-discrimination student movement.
 
Magistrate Belal Hossain passed the order as police produced the former minister before the court and pleaded to place him on a 10-day remand.
 
Police on November 18 arrested the former minister from a house in the Uttara Sector-12 area. He was placed on an eight-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of trader Abdul Wadud.
 
Khaled Hasan Saifullah was killed on July 18 while taking part in an anti-discrimination rally in the Lalbagh Government Residential Colony area. His father Kamrul Hasan on August 19 filed the case against 52 including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

Besides, the court today placed former Dhaka-7 lawmaker Solaiman Salim on a total seven-day remand in two separate cases filed over the killing of Rakib Hawlader and Khaled Hasan Saifullah during the recent anti-discrimination student movement.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain passed the orders, placing Solaiman on a four-day remand in Khaled killing case and another three-day remand in the case lodged over Rakib murder.
 
A team of Chawkbazar Police Station arrested Solaiman Salim from the Gulshan area on November 14.
 
Rakib Hawlader was shot as the Awami League and its front and associate bodies fired live rounds and hurled crude bombs at the protesters during the student-people movement at Chankharpool crossing in the morning on August 5.
 
The Awami League goons even stopped the people from rescuing Rakib and taking him to the nearest hospital.

He was later rushed to Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital, where the attending doctors declared him dead on arrival. His father Jahangir Hossain filed the case with Chawkbazar Police Station on September 23.
