DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir categorically said that the people proved again through upazila polls that the incumbent government is illegal.

He came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion in capital’s Engineers Institute auditorium on Thursday evening.

A day after upazila election, Fakhrul said that taking away voting right the Awami League formed an illegal government. It grasped the power illegally.

Pointing grassroot level activists Mirza Fakhrul said that there is nothing to feel happy with upazila election winning result.

He urged the party activists to work together to overthrow the government.

BNP standing committee member Dr Abdul Moin Khan, Rafiqul Islam Mia, chairperson’s advisor Khandakar Mahbub Hossain, BNP Vice-chairman Abdulla-Al-Noman, Selima Rahman, among others, were present in the program.
