SATKHIRA: Election Commission (EC) withdrew 11 Presiding Officers from Shyamnagar upazila of the district on Wednesday.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Shyamnagar upazila confirmed the matter to banglanews.

They were withdrawn after the order from the Election Commission. “We do not know the reasons behind the action,” he said.

Some 86 presiding officers, 541 assistant presiding officers, 1082 polling officers will perform duties at 12 unions in Shyamnagar upazila elections on Thursday.
