Abass, Gayeswar, Aman get bail

DHAKA: Three top BNP leaders including its standing committee member Mirza Abbas got a 6-week anticipatory bail in a murder case filed by police.

A high court bench of Justices Naima Haider and Jafor Ahmed granted them bail after hearing on Sunday morning.

Earlier in the day, the BNP leaders appeared before the court and sought bail.

Two other accused are BNP standing committee member GAyeswar Chandra Roy, leader Aman Ullah Aman.

An activist of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, was killed in Malibagh rail gate area during March for Democracy, a anti-movement movement enforced by then opposition alliance, on December 29, 2013.

Later on December 30, police field a murder case with Rampura thana thana.
