BNP expels 11 UZ leaders

DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has expelled 11 local leaders from the party for their involvement in the activities which violated party’s discipline.

A press release signed by BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi disclosed the matter on Sunday. Party sources also confirmed the matter banglanews to banglanews.

The expelled leaders are Chittagong south BNP member Liakat Ali, former president of Moulvibazar district’s Sreemangal upazila BNP Ataur Rahman Lal Gazi, former general secretary Md. Yakub Ali, Mymensingh north Fulpur Upazila Mohila Dal’s leader Akhinur Rahman Rina, Degree College Chhatra Dal general secretary Mohibul Haque Tutul, upazila BNP associate convener AKM Tofazzal Haque, municipality BNP secretary AKM Tozammel Haque Rubel, Gauripur municipality BNP president Sergeant (retd) Maqbul Hossain, Bandarban’s BNP youth secretary and Jubo Dal president Mashiur Rahman Miton and Munshiganj’s Gojariya upazila Jubo Dal president Abdul Mannan Dewan.

Besides, BNP’s secretary of tribal affairs Mama Ching were asked to show cause also.

They were defaulted over fighting with BNP nominee in upazila election independently.
