GAZIPUR: A leader of Chhatra League, who sustained bullet injuries in an upazila polls related clash in Shreepur, succumbed to his injuries early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Al-Amin, 28, Vice-President of Sreepur upazila Chhatra League, student wing of Awami League and son of Abul Hossain of the area.

Earlier on Saturday, 25 people, including policemen, were injured in a clash between two groups of local Awami League centering upazila polls in Sreepur upazila of the district.

Instantly, fatally injured Al-Amin was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, he was shifted to Apollo Hospital where his breathed his last early Monday.

Officer-in-Charge of Sreepur Police Station Amir Hossain confirmed the death news to banglanews.
