Khoka seeks exemption

DHAKA: BNP vice-president Sadeque Hossain Khoka appealed to Chairperson Khaleda Zia to exempt from the post of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP convener.

The BNP leader said that he placed his urge to the BNP Chairperson in a meeting with her and proposed three names for the post.

They are-BNP standing committee member Brigadier General (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, Mirza Abbas and Chairperson’s adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo.

He came up with the disclosure while addressing a press conference at Bhasani Auditorium in capital’s Nayapaltan on Wednesday noon.

Khoka also said, “There was no lack of sincerity and I have worked for people and country with the inspiration of Ziaur Rahman’s ideology.”

Dhaka Metropolitan BNP unit member secretary Abdus Salam, Joint-General secretary Nabiullah Nabi, Abdul Latif, Shamsul Huda, Ali Asgar, Abul Bashar and others BNP leaders were present in the press conference.
