DHAKA: BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that the government and ruling party men are attacking BNP men and torching their houses ahead of the fourth phase elections.

“The government is attacking BNP men and torching their houses. Police forces are detaining BNP activists in false cases ahead of fourth phase upazila polls scheduled to be held on March 23,” he said.

The spokesperson for the party came up with the comment while speaking at a press conference at BNP’s Nayapaltan office on Thursday afternoon.   

Rizvi also forewarned the government that if the situation continues, BNP will not stay at home. “We will prevent government and Awami League repression,” he said.    

The BNP leader also presented scenario of repression on BNP men by the law enforcers and Awami League men across the country.
