GAZIPUR: Executive member of Kaliakair upazila BNP Abdul Latif, also a rebel candidate in the fourth phase upazila polls, has been expelled on Thursday evening for violating party decision.

Kaliakair Upazila BNP committee has already received the letter of expulsion, signed by BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in the evening.

BNP sources said that Abdul Latif, also former Chairman of the upazila, was expelled from all memberships of the party including primary membership for defying the party’s decision.

Kalikair Municipal unit BNP President Humayun Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
