DHAKA: Opposition Jatiya Party (JP) on Sunday staged maiden walkout from the Parliament in protest against hiking power price.

JP lawmakers led by party’s Chief Whip Tajul Islam, staged walkout from the JS, protesting the government move to hike power price though there is no change in the international market.

Earlier, the JS session started at 5:18pm.
