JESSORE: A dawn to dusk hartal called by district BNP is underway peacefully in the district sadar on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday, district BNP called the shutdown protesting upazila polls violence and casting fake votes in the upazila.

The movements of the vehicles were halted as well as shops were seen closed in the area, reported banglanews correspondent.

BNP leaders and activists gathered Daratana intersection in the morning supporting hartal.

Law enforcers were seen patrolling in the area to avert any untoward situation.

Officer-in-Charge of Jessore Kotwali Model Thana Emdadul Haque said that no incidents of violence were reported yet.
