DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia Thursday claimed that her husband late freedom fighter Ziaur Rahman was the first president of Bangladesh.

Kheleda came up with the comment while she was addressing a function at Engineers Institution in the city.

Earlier Khaleda’s elder son and BNP senior vice-president Tarique Rahman at a discussion made the same remarks.
