DHAKA: Election Commission has formed its observer team consisting six-member for Thakurgoan Sadar upazila election.

The upazila election will be held on April 16.

The six members include Dinajpur District Senior Election Officer Nuruzzaman Talukdar, Birganj Upazila poll officer Shamsul Azam, Panchagarh District poll officer Sarwar Jahan, Panchagarh Sadar Upazila poll officer Abdul Kuddus Sarkar, Nilphamari District poll officer Jakiya Sultana and Kishoreganj Upazila poll officer of Nilphamari district Syed Siddiki.

In three groups, the observers will observe the voting in 169 voting centers and each team will submit their repots to EC separately.

Assistant Secretary of Election Commission (election management and coordination-2) Ashfakur Rahman on Tuesday confirmed the matter.

Election of this upazila was postponed on March 31.
