DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday urged freedom fighters (FF) to turn around again for the sake of the country.

She came up with the assertion while addressing a view exchange meeting with freedom fighters at Gulshan party chairperson’s office in the city at 9:15pm.

The meeting sources said that targeting freedom fighters Khaleda Zia said, “You had saved the country through liberation war. But the country is in crisis now so you have to turn around again.”

The BNP Chairperson also said that Awami League don’t know how to respect the honorable people. They want to delete the name those who contributed in liberation war.

BNP Acting Secretary General of BNP Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Vice-Chairman Shamser Mobin Chowdhury, eminent freedom fighter Dr Jafarullah and Bangladesh Kallyan Party Chairman Major General (retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim were among others present in the meeting.
