MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) - England thrashed Bangladesh by an innings and 80 runs inside three days at Old Trafford on Sunday as the tourists were bowled out for just 123 after being asked to follow on.
Steven Finn claimed five for 42 and his fellow fast bowler James Anderson took three for 16 as Bangladesh capitulated after the entire morning session was lost to rain. Mahmudullah top scored with 38.
It meant Bangladesh lost all 20 wickets in consecutive sessions of play after they crashed from 126 without loss to 216 all out on Saturday evening. The win gave England a 2-0 series win.
Ian Bell laid the foundations of his team`s 419 with an innings of 128 for his 11th test century, while Matt Prior made 93. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan claimed five for 121.
