DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)-XI scored a fighting 277-run losing eight wickets against the visiting Zimbabweans in the only tour match at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj on Thursday.
Bangladesh openers Imrul Kayes and Anamul Haque provided a solid opening stand of 105-run. Kayes scored 56-run while Anamul amass 52-run.
Besides, ever dependable Mushfiqur Rahim stayed in till the end of the innings, scoring 81 and helping BCB XI 277 on board, picking up 65 runs in the last 10 overs.
Visitors used 10 bowlers. AG Cremer and LM Jongwe took three-wicket each while Mashrafe Mortaza and Sunzamul Islam were run out.
Currently, Zimbabweans’ openers Richmond Mutumbami and Chamu Chibhabha are on the crease with 4 and 21-run respectively. Zimbabweans have, so far, scored 27-run after 7-over without losing any wicket.
Earlier, Zimbabweans captain E Chigumbura won the toss and elected to field first.
