DHAKA: Visiting Zimbabweans beat Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) by seven wickets in the only tour match at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj on Thursday.
Chasing 278-run target, Elton Chigumbura with 64 run off 49 balls and Craig Ervine with 95 runs off 99 balls lead Zimbabwean to win the match.
Bangladesh bowler Sunzamul Islam bagged two wickets while Shafiul Islam picked up one.
Put in to bat first, BCB XI scored 277 runs for 8 in 50 overs.
Bangladesh openers Imrul Kayes and Anamul Haque provided a solid opening stand of 105 runs. Kayes scored 56 runs while Anamul amass 52.
Besides, ever-dependable Mushfiqur Rahim stayed in till the end of the innings, scoring 81 and helping BCB XI 277 on board, picking up 65 runs in the last 10 overs.
The visiting team used 10 bowlers. AG Cremer and LM Jongwe took three wickets each while Mashrafe Mortaza and Sunzamul Islam were run out.
Earlier, Zimbabwe captain E Chigumbura won the toss and elected to field first.
