DHAKA: In yet another low-scoring encounter, Dhaka Dynamites beat Chittagong Vikings by six wickets with 17-ball to spare in the 10th match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2015 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Winning the toss, Vikings Captain Tamim Iqbal chose to bat first. Dynamtes’ bowlers showed good control, rolling over Chittagong for 92 in 18.4-over.
Naeem Islam was the top scorer with 29-run. Apart from T Dilshan (20) and Yasir Ali (14), no other Chittagong batsman managed to reach double figure.
Mustafizur Rahman and Nasir Hossain took three wickets each while Farhad Reza, Abul Hasan, Mosharraf Hossain and Yasir Shah took one wicket each.
In response, top-order Dynamites’ batsmen complemented their bowlers and chased down the target with 17 balls to spare. Shadman Islam was the top scorer with 45-run while Shykat Ali and Nasir Jamshed gathered 23 and 12-run.
Naeem Islam took three wickets and Shafiul Islam picked up the other one.Currently, Chittagong Vikings are on the second position with 4 points while Dhaka Dynamites are on the 4th position with 4 points. Both the teams played three matches so far.
