DHAKA: Barisal Bulls beat Chittagong Vikings by 33-run in the 13th Match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2015 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Monday.

Winning the toss, Vikings captain Tamim Iqbal invited the Bulls to bat first. Their bowlers started the game brilliantly by picking up three early wickets.

But, Bulls captain Mahmudullah played a wonderful knock of 51-run off 45-ball after his team faced an early setback losing three wickets on 12-run in 2.2-over.

S Prasanna hit 36-run off 20-ball while Mehedi Maruf and Kevon Cooper took 28 and 21 runs. Bulls managed to set a challenging 171-run target for the Vikings.

Mohammad Amir and Ziaur Rahman took two wickets each while TM Dilshan, Shafiul Islam and E Chigumbura picked up one wicket each.

In response, Vikings were rattled by early strikes but there was no recovery. Regular fall of wickets barred the fly of Vikings. They, ultimately, lost all wickets scoring 137-run in 19.5-over.

Naeem Islam was the top scorer with 38-run while Mohammad Amir, T Dilshan, Ziaur Rahman, Anamul Haque and Shafiul Islam gathered 20, 19, 13, 12 and 12 runs.

Kevon Cooper picked up three wickets while Al-Amin Hossain took two. Besides, Mohammad Sami, Taijul Islam and Mahmudullah took one wicket each.

Cooper was adjudged player of the match for his all-round performance.

Currently, Barisal Bulls are on the 2nd position with 6-point from four matches and Comilla Victorians are on the fifth position with only 2-point from five matches.
