DHAKA: Nepal Under-19 beat New Zealand by 32-run in the Group D match against New Zealand in the ICC Under-19 World Cup at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium at Fatullah in Narayanganj district on Thursday.
Chasing 238-run set by Nepal, Kiwis batsmen managed 206 runs losing all 10 wickets in 47.1 overs.
DS Airee and P Tamang picked up three and two wickets respectively.
Earlier, Nepal Under-19 team scored 238-run losing seven wickets from their allocated 50-over in the Group D match.
However, New Zealand Under-19 won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first.
R Rijjal hit 48-run while S Sunar and Aarif Sheikh took 39 runs each. NG Smith picked up three wickets for New Zealand.
With today’s win, Nepal Under-19 secured two points while New Zealand Under-19 got zero.
