DHAKA: West Indies entered the quarterfinals of ICC U-19 World Cup with a thrilling two-run victory over Zimbabwe at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong Tuesday.
West Indies Under-19s 226/9 (50 ov), Zimbabwe Under-19s 224 (49.0 ov), West Indies Under-19s won by 2 runs, Player of the match - AS Joseph (West Indies).
Earlier in the morning, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl first. West Indies scored 226 runs losing nine wickets in stipulated 50-over.
In response, Zimbabwe suffered a unacceptable 2-run defeat as the team lost all wickets to score 224 in 49-over.
