DHAKA: India Under-19s have made it into the semi-finals of ICC Under-19 World Cup 2016 by beating Namibia Under-19s by 197-run in the second Quarter-Final at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj on Saturday (February 6).
India U-19 captain Ishan Kishan won the toss and elected to bat first in the match that kicked off at 9:00am.
RR Pant (111 off 96 balls) along with Anmolpreet Singh (41 off 42 balls) SN Khan (76 off 76 balls) and Armaan Jaffer (64 off 55 balls) and MK Lomror (41 off 21 balls) scored a mammoth 350-run.
F Coetzee is the only successful bowler of Namibia taking three Indian wickets.
In response, Namibia Under-19s lost all wickets scoring 152-run in 39-over. SJ Loftie-Eaton, Niko Davin, Zane Green and Jurgen Linde scored 22, 33, 27 and 25 runs respectively.
Of the India bowlers, MJ Dagar and Anmolpreet Singh picked up three wickets each while Washington Sundar took two.
India will lock horns against the winner of the match between West Indies and Sri Lanka in the semi-final stage.
