Mustafiz sold to Hyderabad in IPL draft

DHAKA: Pacer Mustafizur Rahman was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 1.4 crore (Tk 1.62 crore) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016.

He had a base price of Rs 50 lakh.

The Indian Premier League 2016 auction got off to an exciting start as the likes of Shane Watson, Yuvraj Singh, Ishant Sharma and Kevin Pietersen received big bids on Satruday.

The 19-year-old medium-pacer in the first two ODIs against India had claimed 11 wickets that helped Bangladesh win their first bilateral series the neighboring country.

Earlier, the Pace bowling sensation was one of the four Bangladesh players who were sold in the players’ draft for the inaugural season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Meanwhile, Mushfiqur Rahim, Johnson Charles, Morne van Wyk and Ben Dunk all went unsold in IPL draft.

IPL 2016 will be held from April 9 to May 29.
