DHAKA: Sri Lanka have entered into the semi finals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup, beating England by six wickets in the Quarterfinal at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.
Chasing England-set 185-run target, Sri Lankan batsmen reached the target with 86 balls remaining and six wicket in hands.
WMK Bandara, WIA Fernando and KIC Asalanka scored 22, 95 and 34 run respectively. Avishka Fernando of Sri Lanka was the Man of the Match.
Earlier, England lost all wickets to score 184 runs in 49.2 overs.
CJ Tylor hits 42 runs and BGF Green 26 while Lankan bowlers Silva and Fernando bagged three and two wickets respectively.
Earlier in the morning, England won the toss and elected to bat. The match, which is the 32nd match of the Under-19 World Cup, began at 9:00am (Bangladesh Time).
