DHAKA: India reached ICC U-19 World Cup Final beating Sri Lanka by 97 runs in semifinal at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday (February 9).
Winning the toss, Sri Lanka chose to bowl first in the morning.
Indian batsmen were very much relaxed to score 267 runs for nine wickets in stipulated 50 overs.
Anmolpreet hit 72 run and Sarfaraz 59. Lankan bowlers Fernando bagged four wickets while Kumara and Nimesh got two wickets each.

Chasing a 268-run target, Sri Lanka had lost top-order batsmen too early and stuck in a tensed condition. Though middle order batsmen tried their best, but rest of all succumbed to pressure and India bowled out Sri Lanka at 170.
Mendis and Ahsan scored 39 and 38 runs respectively.
In final, India will face the winning team from second semifinal, scheduled to be held on February 11 between Bangladesh and West Indies.
