DHAKA: Sri Lanka set a 215-run target for Bangladesh in the third place play-off of the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Fatullah on Saturday.
Lankan lions lost all wickets to secure 214 run with seven ball remaining at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium.
KIC Asalanka, PHKD Mendis, MSU Pereira, S Ashan and PWH de Silva scored 76, 26, 34, 27 and 30 runs respectively.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz bagged three wickets while Mohammd Saifuddin and Abdul Halim picked two wickets each for Bangladesh.
Earleir, Sri Lanka Under-19s captain Charith Asalanka won the toss and elected to bat in the match that began at 9:00am.
The tournament is being contested by 19 nations, out of which 16 nations are the full time members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), as the matches are being played under the One-Day International (ODI) rules.
