DHAKA: Indian batsmen are facing Bangladeshi bowlers to chase 121-run target, set by Bangladesh in Asia Cup final match on Sunday night.
Bangladesh set 121-run target to India losing five wickets as Mahmudullah hit a potential 33 runs, Sabbir 32 to lead the team to a fighting score in reduced 15-over match at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Earlier, India captain MS Dhoni won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first at 9.30pm.
The game was reduced to 15-overs a side due to rain. Fielding restrictions for five overs, and a bowler can bowl a maximum of three overs.
The umpires made the decision after inspecting the field at 8:45pm after the match was delayed due to rain and storm.
The match was scheduled to start at 7:30pm Bangladesh time.
The rain had stopped at 7:40pm and groundsmen, led by Gamini Silva, worked hard so that the game can start.
